Te Mata Estate 2010 Vintage Releases

Hi From Matt
It is with great pleasure that I offer you a special pre-release of the Te Mata Estate 2010 vintage releases.

The big question is ‘are they as good as the 2009’s? The simple answer is ‘Yes!’.  2010 Coleraine, Awatea and Bullnose all seem to have just as much power as the 2009’s, but are more svelte and lithe.  They are wines of finesse, elegance and structure, concentrated yet vibrant.  I loved the 2009’s, some of my favourite New Zealand wines of last year, my personal preference is for the classical 2010 wines.

Martinborough’s beautiful new old-vine reds – representing NZ to the world

New Zealand’s Most Exciting New Estate
Must-have old-vine Pinot Noir and Syrah for the serious wine drinker and collector

Hi From Matt

I have just returned from an intense couple of weeks visiting Californian estates and attending the Master of Wine residential seminars in the Napa Valley.  When asked to bring wines to represent the best New Zealand at ‘the Masters of Wine candidate’s ultimate BYO dinner’, I took the best new kiwi wines I’ve tasted in years – from an estate most have never heard of – Cambridge Road in Martinborough.

The wines shone in the company of great bottles such as 1999 Anne Gros Clos Vougeot, 1995 Brunello di Montalcino Reserva, Madonna del Piano and 1989 Gaja, Sori San Lorenzo.  The other MW candidates were intrigued by their depth, purity and elegance.

The finest Chianti Classico Super Tuscan I have tried – 13 x Gambero Rosso 3-Glass awards

Hi From Matt

I’m very pleased to offer you the opportunity to secure the finest Chianti Classico Super Tuscan I have tried, Querciabella Camartina 2008.

After tasting this beautiful wine overseas, I set about securing as much as I could.   Britain’s leading expert on Italian wine, Nicolas Belfrage MW describes it perfectly; “A majestic wine having much of the depth and elegance of a Bordeaux Cru Classé.”  Unfortunately, due to international demand, New Zealand’s entire allocation is a mere 3 x wooden six packs, so I’m offering a select number of fine wine lovers like yourself, the opportunity to buy a maximum of one six-pack, on a strictly first reply basis.
