On the weekend of 12-13 April, our buyer Lewis Maconie and I were invited to take part in the Hans Herzog vintage weekend in Marlborough.Â Â It was a chance to taste the Herzog wines and learn about their winemaking philosophy, which is intimately tied up in their outstanding vineyard restaurant (5-star meals were a welcome bi-product of the learning process!)
