ā€œIf you buy one $100 Italian red this year, this should be it.Ā

The best value for money Brunello I’ve ever tried ā€
Matt Deller, FWDC Wine Programme Director

Hi From Matt

I’m very pleased to offer you theĀ stunning Altesino Brunello di Montalcino 2006.

Lovers of Burgundy and indeed any great Pinot Noir should experience the silken texture and savoury textures of Brunello – the great red wine of Tuscany.Ā  To say that this wine is an enjoyable tasting experience is a huge understatement, I opened it with the downstairs team last night and they were spellbound.Ā Ā  It has the beguiling complexity and sumptuous, yet fresh minerally palate normally seen in Grand Cru Burgundy.Ā  I’m so enthralled by this wine I’m opening another bottle tonight, I wish I could have bought more than my six bottle personal allocation.Ā Ā

ā€œAltesino’s single-vineyard Brunello, Montosoli, is the legend-maker for the estateā€
96/100 James Suckling

Hi From Matt

I’m very pleased to offer you the legendary single-vineyard Altesino Brunello di Montalcino ā€˜Montosoli’ 2006.

Brunello di Montalcino and Barolo are the most majestic wines of Italy.Ā  While Barolo with its cru system and perfumed, minerally wines resembles Burgundy; Brunello Montalcino with its aristocratic structure and deep brooding complexity that deepens with age, is the spiritual twin of Bordeaux.Ā  Sangiovese reaches its maximum ripeness here, giving fuller, richer wines than anywhere else in Tuscany.

Hi From Matt

I’m very pleased to offer you the opportunity to secure the finest Chianti Classico Super Tuscan I have tried, Querciabella Camartina 2008.

After tasting this beautiful wine overseas, I set about securing as much as I could.Ā Ā  Britain’s leading expert on Italian wine, Nicolas Belfrage MW describes it perfectly; ā€œA majestic wine having much of the depth and elegance of a Bordeaux Cru ClassĆ©.ā€Ā  Unfortunately, due to international demand, New Zealand’s entire allocation is a mere 3 x wooden six packs, so I’m offering a select number of fine wine lovers like yourself, the opportunity to buy a maximum of one six-pack, on a strictly first reply basis.
