Hi from Jeff,

On Wednesday night I had the pleasure and privilege to host a very special dinner in our FWDC Cellar Lounge.  Canapés followed by 4-courses interspersed with Amuse, Cleanser and Cheese platter served up by Michelin Chef extraordinaire “Phillip Reynolds” of Difference Catering. A memorable night of food and wine

Last night Virginia, Matt and me dropped into Sake Bar 601 in Kingsland for a late dinner after finishing our fabulous French Wine Tour presentation to prospective clients earlier.

Sake Bar 601 is an intimate local restaurant located in Auckland’s Kingsland suburb serving high quality Japanese inspired cuisine. You can always count on fresh, high quality ingredients traditionally prepared and they’re scrumptiously good. They regularly change their wine list which is always eclectic in its well chosen offering and fairly priced, the service is always welcoming, friendly and efficient so we have become regulars there. When you see legend chef “Michael Meredith of Meredith’s” dining there with his family (as we did some months ago) you know you’re in for a quality experience.

An island I’d like to be deserted on…a memorable long lunch at Te Whau

If you asked me what wine I would take with me if I was deserted on an island, I’d say none – just make sure I’m deserted on Waiheke Island with all the glorious fine wine and food you could ask for.

I can think of nothing better than getting on the ferry to Waiheke to indulge in a long lunch at Te Whau on a perfect day where the sun is shining and there’s not a cloud in the sky.

2 weeks ago we did just that with 35 wine and food loving customers and the experience couldn’t have been better.
